We started the week with students contributing to an original art piece for the Glencoe auction. Satchel's mom, Katie, led the activity where students used paint pens to create a portrait on a large canvas. It turned out beautifully.
Our second art activity was Art Infusion on Wednesday. Parent volunteers led the activity where students used colored chalk to create a landscape using a rubbing motion. Their wonderful artwork can be seen on display outside our classroom. Thank you to Owen's, Levi's, Walter's, Skyron's and Arlo's moms for guiding our artists. The third art activity was our second session with Andy from Red Yarn. Students practiced their song and then began to create their sock puppets. They used a variety of materials to create a face for their animal. Zoe's mom and Kelsey's mom were a wonderful help! Photos from all three of these projects can be found on our Photos page. We couldn't do it without our volunteers so thank you! The next Art Infusion training is this Tuesday at 6:30.
