What a wonderful week! I am filled with gratitude for all of the lovely notes, flowers, treats and gifts. Your generosity was a bit overwhelming - I am a fortunate teacher. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
This past week students worked with Miss Nicole from Dance Your Heart Out. She provided a wonderful introduction to our next science unit - biomimicry. Students explored what mimicry means and examined some of nature's inspirations. In reading we are continuing to read fables and identify the lessons or morals of the stories. We are also practicing our comparing and contrasting skills by reading different versions of the same stories. The final book order of the year is due this Friday. It's a great chance to stock up on some books for summer reading! STEAM Night is this Friday as well. Come and experience some fun activities!
